About This Spot

Stepping into Rincón El Varadero, you’re gently welcomed by the steady rhythm of waves just meters away, blending effortlessly with the hum of friendly chatter and the occasional clink of glasses. This unpretentious crab house is where locals and travelers alike gather for the simple pleasure of sharing fresh, straightforward seafood in an atmosphere that feels familiar, despite being so close to the Atlantic’s edge.

The space moves at an easy, comforting pace—nothing rushed, yet always a steady pulse of life. You might find yourself sitting alongside fishermen finishing their day’s catch or families savoring their favorite plates, creating a tapestry of momentary connections threaded by a shared appetite for honest food.

Here, the sea shapes the menu naturally. Plates arrive showcasing the best of local waters: tender prawns, smoky grilled sardines, and sweet, briny bites of shellfish that speak of the ocean’s bounty without fuss or pretense. Each dish invites you to lean in, savor the subtle textures and flavors, and appreciate a craft handed down in humble yet loving ways.

Rincón El Varadero isn’t polished or flashy, and that’s precisely where its charm lies. It’s a place of straightforward goodness—the kind you might stumble upon after a day exploring Tenerife’s rugged coastlines or just when you need a quiet moment to enjoy something genuinely fresh and unvarnished.

Though the staff may keep a brisk pace, their focus on the food and the steady flow of service means your attention always returns to the genuine experience unfolding on your plate and in the surrounding glimpses of local life. This is a spot where the view, the flavors, and the spirit of community quietly align—inviting you to return to the simplicity that makes a meal memorable.

Popular spot with my local friends and lucky to find a table as it was near capacity at 3.30pm when we rocked up, famished after exploring Teide. Plates of freshly caught shrimp, followed by grilled mussels hit the spot. We wrapped it up with grilled wreckfish and several plates of fries which were crisp and not greasy. Service was OK, but the baby squid order never appeared. As said, it's a busy place. Good value and plenty of food for the three of us. The restaurant is located right by the sea, and we worked off the delicious food walking around the seafront. I'd go back for sure.

Delicious Spanish seafood dishes, extremely fresh. Good food quality for a good price. However, staff could be friendlier… they need to learn the basics of how to talk to customers. If you speak Spanish you’ll have a better service. Lucky we do. Nevertheless, we went several times, and will be back to enjoy the good dishes. Nice view, at 10 metres from the sea.

This restaurant is slightly off the beaten track but well worth seeking out. It’s a no-frills local restaurant so don’t expect anything fancy, however the service is great and the seafood simple and delicious. One of our favourites in La Caleta.

The fish was amazing and perfectly cooked. The camarones shrimp were okay. The sardines didnt have much of a taste.

Ignore the comments on the service. They are brisk and efficient but great!, but that’s no reason not to come. The food is awesome! Simple, honest and tasty. Best restaurant in Adeje and much better than the tourist traps you will over pay in.

Good food and good service! Perfect for beer and seafood after spending a whole day on the beach. Very casual. Kid friendly staff too.

We got to the restaurant at sunset. Great view of the harbor and ocean. The service is very nice and honest. We ordered a grilled seafood mix. I especially like the crawfish. Everything fresh and tasty. I would highly recommend
